About PurpleLights
From electrical engineering to PurpleLights
PurpleLights grew out of PurpleHome, a master electrician and electrical planning company. Our roots lie in electrical planning, KNX technology and hands-on electrical engineering.
We didn't move from e-commerce into electrical engineering – we came from electrical engineering into e-commerce.
Why we built PurpleLights
The lighting market offers a huge range of products and suppliers. Yet when it comes to technical questions, choosing compatible components or resolving problems, customers often need more support than a typical online shop can provide.
That is why we built PurpleLights: a specialised shop for LED lighting that combines product selection, technical expertise and personal accessibility. Our goal is not just to sell products – we want to clearly explain what matters when it comes to light colour, brightness, track systems, light bulbs and other technical characteristics.
Three perspectives, one shared standard
Behind PurpleHome and PurpleLights are three partners: a mechanical engineer, an economist with a doctorate and an electrical engineer qualified as a master electrician. Together we combine hands-on electrical practice, engineering thinking and business experience.
We use this expertise to run PurpleLights in a way that is technically sound, efficient and personal at the same time.
A shop with technical roots
PurpleHome is the company, PurpleLights the shop.
PurpleHome is the master electrician and planning company behind it all. PurpleLights is the specialised shop and sales division for LED lighting and selected electrical products.
The technical experience gained at PurpleHome forms the basis for how we select products, prepare information and handle customer enquiries.
Our cooperation with Braytron
In the lighting sector we work closely with Braytron. Braytron has many years of experience with modern lighting solutions and complements our electrical engineering background with a broad product range.
Selected items are kept in stock in our own local warehouse. Further products can be sourced – subject to current availability – from Braytron's European warehouse in Romania.
This way we combine personal contacts and short decision-making paths with access to a much larger lighting range.
Personal approach, modern methods
PurpleLights is growing, but it should remain personal and approachable. That is why we deliberately develop our range and processes in a controlled way.
Our lean structure allows for short decision-making paths and direct handling of customer concerns. Digital tools, automation and artificial intelligence help us make processes more efficient and present information clearly.
Technical decisions, product selection and individual customer concerns, however, remain a matter of personal responsibility.
